Substance Use Disorder Treatment with Proven Results

A serene landscape featuring a lake surrounded by mountains under a clear blue sky.

FDA-approved medications for Opioid treatment

There are many medications that can help many people recover from opioid use disorder, but they remain highly underutilized. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, fewer than half of private-sector treatment programs offer medications for opioid use disorders, and of patients in those programs who might benefit, only a third actually receive it. Overcoming the misunderstandings and other barriers that prevent wider adoption of these treatments is crucial for tackling the problem of opioid use disorder and the epidemic of opioid overdose in the United States.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

At LexTy Counseling, we provide evidence-based Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) that combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to support recovery from substance use disorders. Our whole-person approach addresses the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social aspects of healing.

All MAT services are provided under the supervision of our on-site medical doctor, ensuring safe, comprehensive, and coordinated care. Our goal is to help clients reduce cravings, prevent relapse, and build a strong foundation for lasting recovery.

Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)

  • Naltrexone (Vivitrol®): Helps reduce alcohol cravings and heavy drinking.
  • Acamprosate (Campral®): Supports abstinence and recovery.
  • Disulfiram (Antabuse®): Creates an adverse reaction to alcohol consumption

Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)

  • Buprenorphine/Naloxone (Suboxone®): Reduces cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
  • Buprenorphine (Sublocade®): Long-acting and office-based treatment options.
  • Naltrexone (Vivitrol®): Blocks opioid effects and helps prevent relapse.
